I was not trying to trade Rajon Rondo. There's a big difference between trying to acquire a player and trying to trade a player. I know that some people say, 'Oh, that's just semantics.' No it's not. Rondo knows what I was trying to do, and he knows I wasn't shopping him around and trying to trade him, like has been reported. There's a big difference."
First of all, he's absolutely correct that there's a big difference between "shopping" a guy and pursuing an upgrade with your only viable trade chip (Rondo). Of course, without further evidence, you have to either take him at his word or not.
Personally I believe that Danny legitimately does like Rondo a lot and sees a lot of potential greatness in the young All Star. I also believe that Danny has no problem trading anyone to any team and will do so with no tears. The only player I couldn't see traded is Paul Pierce and I think that has more to do with the owners and his age and contract than Danny.
So how long will Rondo remain a Celtic? For as long as he's a better option than something else Ainge can find. That might mean for 10 years or it might only be 10 more days.

"The first thing you have to have in here is that you have to understand what you’re coming into, understand that being a Celtic is bigger than anybody in this locker room. En fait, ce qui intéresse James et Wade, c’est le secret de son incroyable forme physique.

A presque 30 ans (le 17 janvier), Wade ressent de plus en plus l’importance d’une bonne hygiène de vie sur le quotidien d’un sportif.
Il suit même depuis peu un régime particulier pour améliorer sa condition physique alors forcément, il ne peut être qu’admiratif devant une telle volonté.
« Il est incroyable, on a l’impression qu’il n’est jamais fatigué. C’est dingue. »
Même son de cloche du côté de LeBron James (27 ans) qui emprunterait bien un ou deux conseils à Ray Ray.
« Il peut jouer jusqu’à qu’il en ait marre du basket. Il n’y a pas de limite d’âge pour lui. Il a une fontaine de jouvence mais il ne le dira à personne. Je lui ai dit sur le terrain que je ne savais pas comment il faisait. On dirait qu’il a 25 ou 26 ans. »
Etant donné qu’Allen n’a aucunement l’intention de ranger ses sneakers au placard, James et Wade disposent encore de quelques années pour élucider ce mystère.

Bon, la dimension dont parle KG c'est de passer d'un match de plagiste à un semblant de match de basket professionnel face à une simili B-team des Nets, mais Bradley a définitivement tapé dans l'oeil de ses coéquipiers !
Défensivement, j'ai vraiment rien à lui reprocher (le kid se donne à fond, c'est un battant), et ça donne même des idées sur des séquences particulières (imaginez Lebron James avec un Bradley survitaminé aux fesses, l'inconscience de Rondo avec la technique de pressing en plus).
Et Rivers a prouvé hier soir que le blocage était bien psychologique, c'était le bon moment pour l'obliger à jouer sous la pression (pas des Nets hein ^^ mais de ses coéquipiers, de son coach et surtout du public du Garden qui ne pardonne rien).
Vu les interviews, Bradley a certainement passé un cap hier et a compris son rôle : DEFENSIVE PLAYER. On évitera ainsi de futures crises cardiaques à le voir tenter des briques.

Je réitère ce que je disais lors du match précédent, mais malgré tout ses défauts, il est bien féroce en défense, j'ai revu son passage sur Farmar cette nuit, il lui met le feu. C'est cool de voir les autres joueurs venir le féliciter et l'encourager (notamment Paul Pierce) après la séquence.
Si sur de courte séquence il arrive a cramer le meneur d'en face, ça n'en est que mieux quand Rondo est de retour.

I was beginning to wonder if I could ever consider Avery Bradley a legit NBA player. It is has been slow coming and the jury is still out I suppose, but he went a long way towards establishing himself in last night's win.

It certainly was "dead in there" last night. And he picked a perfect time to shine (albeit against a poor and depleted Nets team). With Ray out with the flu, he had a chance at extended minutes and he did well with them.

Bradley has been criticized by many (including myself) for looking passive or not confident on offense. He even put up an early airball that I'm not sure was even tipped last night. But he didn't let himself get overly down. He focused on his strengths and good things happened.

The upside for Bradley has always been "a sane Tony Allen." That would be just fine with me (though I do miss Salmon & Mashed Potatoes some days - then I remember Bad Tony and the moment passes).
If he can learn the offense enough to stay out of the way and keep the ball moving, then he can be a disruptive force on defense - which will in turn feed into his confidence on offense and create transition opportunities as well.
I could get used to the idea of Bradley being our new defensive stopper.
Pavlovic il était starter il y a encore une semaine aujourd’hui il joue les utilités du garbage et M.Pietrus n'est même pas encore là... Pas sûr qu'on le voit des masses a l'avenir.
Une fois n'est pas coutume, saluons la persévérance de Doc à avoir insisté à donner sa chance à Avery BRADLEY en l'absence de Ray Allen. Le début fut extrêmement laborieux et même si les gestes défensifs du #0 sont toujours très utiles, son apport au niveau du playbook ou du scoring ressemblait comme deux gouttes d'eau à ce qu'on a pu observer depuis le début de la saison. Et en seconde période, le miracle est enfin arrivé : non seulement Bradley a monté sa défense d'un cran (il est vraiment hardcore sur son adversaire direct), mais il a enfin cassé le blocage psychologique qu'il avait en attaque. Résultat, 11 pts, 2 steals, 2 assists et enfin un %FG à .500 ! Merci Doc Rivers !
Bon, dans l'ensemble, après une première période à la plage, les cadres ont pris le game en main à partir du 3eme QT et ont vite plié l'affaire (il était temps !). En face, des Nets amoindris et peu concernés (à part MarShon Brooks qui malheureusement se retrouve blessé à la cheville, un peu la cata quoi).

Si ses coéquipiers avaient les mains un peu moins carrées, il serait déjà facile à 20 assists ce soir. Il est terrible
